Description
SUMAGRAN Active is a Pharmacist Only medicine used for the acute relief of migraine attacks, with or without aura. Migraine is a neurological condition thought to be caused by dilation of blood vessels in the brain, leading to head pain and associated symptoms. The active ingredient sumatriptan (as succinate) 50 mg helps relieve migraine by constricting blood vessels back to their normal size and inhibiting migraine‑related nerve activity. This helps reduce headache pain, nausea, and sensitivity to light and sound during an attack. It is not intended to prevent migraines but to treat them once they begin.

Directions
Adults (18–65 years):
Take 1 tablet at the first sign of a migraine attack with a glass of water. If the migraine returns after improvement, a second tablet may be taken after at least 2 hours. Do not take more than 2 tablets for the same attack. Swallow the tablet whole.
Ingredients
Each film‑coated tablet contains:
• Sumatriptan (as succinate) – 50 mg (active ingredient)
(Inactive ingredients include microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, lactose monohydrate and coating excipients.)
Warnings
Always read the label and use only as directed.
Not suitable for children under 18 years or adults over 65 years without professional advice.
Use only if you have been diagnosed with migraine.
Do not take if you have heart disease, uncontrolled high blood pressure or allergy to sumatriptan or similar medicines.
Avoid use with other migraine‑specific medicines (e.g., other triptans, MAO inhibitors).
Contains lactose; not suitable for severe lactose intolerance.
