Description
ORACORT Dental Paste 0.1% 5 g
Description
ORACORT Dental Paste is a topical corticosteroid paste containing 0.1 % triamcinolone acetonide formulated for temporary relief of pain, inflammation and irritation associated with oral ulcers, mouth sores and inflammatory lesions in the mouth. Applied directly to the lesion, it forms a protective film that helps reduce inflammation and discomfort while supporting the healing process.
Key Features
• Contains triamcinolone acetonide 0.1 %, a corticosteroid that helps reduce inflammation and irritation of oral tissues.
• Designed for temporary relief of symptoms from mouth ulcers and other sore spots in the mouth.
• Forms a protective coating over the affected area to help reduce discomfort from food and drink.
• Suitable for short‑term adjunctive treatment alongside other oral care measures (as advised by a healthcare professional).
• Easy‑to‑apply adhesive dental paste for targeted relief.
• May be easier to apply than rinses for localized lesions.
Directions
Apply a small dab (about 6 mm) directly to the ulcer or sore with a fingertip or cotton‑tip applicator until a thin film develops. Do not rub in — this can cause the paste to crumble. Use 2–3 times a day, preferably after meals and at bedtime, or as directed by your healthcare professional. If the lesion has not improved after 7 days, seek further advice.
Ingredients
Active ingredient: Triamcinolone acetonide 0.1 %.
Non‑medicinal ingredients: Gelatin powder, pectin, sodium carboxymethylcellulose, mineral oil and polyethylene gel base.
Warnings
• For oral use only; do not apply to eyes, skin or other areas.
• Do not use if you have known hypersensitivity to corticosteroids or any paste ingredient.
• Avoid use if there is a fungal, viral or bacterial infection in the mouth or throat unless advised by a healthcare provider.
• If irritation, burning or other discomfort develops at the application site, discontinue use and seek medical advice.
• Use for short periods only — prolonged use may increase risk of systemic corticosteroid effects.
• Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding without doctor supervision.
• If symptoms persist longer than 7 days, consult a healthcare professional.
