Description
PROCTOSEDYL Suppositories are a dual‑action anorectal treatment used for the symptomatic relief of haemorrhoids (piles) and other painful anal conditions such as anal fissures (tears) and pruritus ani (itching). They combine a mild corticosteroid to reduce inflammation with a local anaesthetic to help numb pain and discomfort, providing effective short‑term relief from swelling, itching and irritation in the anorectal area.

Directions
Remove the suppository from its packaging and moisten briefly in cool water. Gently insert the suppository into the rectum (back passage), ideally after a bowel movement. For best results, avoid going to the toilet for at least 1 hour after insertion. Use up to 3 times daily or as directed by a healthcare professional.
Ingredients
Each suppository contains:
• Hydrocortisone – 5 mg (corticosteroid to reduce inflammation)
• Cinchocaine hydrochloride – 5 mg (local anaesthetic to relieve pain and spasm)
Inactive ingredients typically include hard fat as the suppository base.
Warnings
• For anal and rectal use only.
• Do not use if you are allergic to hydrocortisone, cinchocaine or any of the ingredients.
• Do not use for more than 7 days unless advised by a doctor.
• Not suitable for children under 12 years of age.
• Avoid use when infections affecting the anal area are present (including viral, bacterial or fungal).
• If severe pain, bleeding, pus or other signs of infection occur, seek medical advice.
